The PRS for Music Foundation has announced the appointment of four new trustees Caroline Norbury MBE, Hannah Kendall, Julian Nott and Mark Poole.
The four new trustees have been appointed to the Foundation’s board in the last six months.
Caroline Norbury, MBE is the founding chief executive of Creative England, an organisation investing in talent in film, TV, games and digital media.
Hannah Kendall is a composer whose music has attracted the attentions of some of the UK’s finest groups including London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, BBC Singers and Philharmonia Orchestra. She also works part-time as a director at London Music Masters.
Julian Nott is a film and TV composer who has provided the scores for six productions that have won or been nominated for Oscars and 12 for BAFTAs. His work includes scores for Wallace and Gromit in the The Curse of the Wererabbit, Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and The Hungry Caterpillar.
Mark Poole is a chartered accountant with over twenty five years of financial and commercial experience. He currently acts as a corporate adviser and non-executive director on a number of companies including PRS for Music.
Vanessa Reed, PRS Foundation chief executive, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Caroline, Hannah, Julian and Mark to the PRS Foundation’s board. The experience and expertise they bring to the board - which includes financial skills, experience of composing in different genres and understanding of how to develop the creative industries outside of London - will add scope and specialist knowledge to our strong and committed Board.
‘Their diverse perspectives will support our role as an entrepreneurial funder and development agency, sensitive to the needs of music creators and organisations with different backgrounds and ambitions.’
