PRS for Music has confirmed the panellists appearing at its sessions during this year’s Great Escape.

Rob Woodland from the state51, Phil Nelson at First Column Management, Julia Payne, director, the hub and Glenn Cooper from Islands Records will all be speaking at the collecting society’s DIY day on Saturday 10 May.

Taking place at the Basement venue and presented in collaboration with Arts Council England, the session will provide new and emerging artists with advice on how to make money at grassroots level.

The event is just one of a number PRS for Music will have a hand in at this year’s event in Brighton.

The collecting society will host Maximising Music Rights in conjunction with PPL on Thursday 8 May. David Cameron’s IP advisor, Mike Weatherley MP, Crispin Hunt (Featured Artist Coalition), Ann Tausis (Kobalt Music Publishing) and Andy Chatterley (Muso) are all taking part in this half day strand.

On Friday 9 May, fast rising pop star Chloe Howl will be ‘in conversation’ with Rinse FM breakfast presenter Carly Wilford about her career to date and what the future holds.
