PRS for Music is launching a new series of events to delve into the role of ‘big data’ in the music industry and how its use is changing.
The first session, which will run under the PRS Explores banner, takes place on Wednesday 1 February at the organisation’s London headquarters in Kings Cross.
It will gather experts from across the industry to discuss how stakeholders can work together to better identify music and copyright ownership in the face of rapidly changing consumption and distribution models.
Speakers include Soundcloud’s Matt Fenby-Taylor, Yuri Dokter from DJ Monitor, journalist and songwriter Helienne Lindvall, PRS for Music’s Paul Dilorito, Matt Phipps-Taylor from PPL and Mark Vermaat from Soundmouse.
The event is free to attend, but you must register in advance. For more information, and to sign up, please see https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/prs-explores-big-music-data-part-1-tickets-31128686740
