PRS for Music Foundation’s executive director Vanessa Reed has been honoured at the h.Club 100 Awards for her work supporting the careers of songwriters, composers and artists.

She was presented the award in the music category last night (4 October) at a ceremony at the Hospital Club’s central London premises.

Reed leads the overall strategic direction of the PRS for Music Foundation, helping to support the careers of composers and songwriters at every level.

Her new music charity has recently backed emerging artists Wolf Alice, Kate Tempest and Jake Isaac, who have all made huge waves at home and overseas.

On receipt of her award, she said: ‘As a funder I can only be as impressive as the people we support and the partners we work with so this award is for the hundreds of songwriters, composers, artists and organisations we help every year who create exceptional music and inspire audiences across the world. It's a privilege to work with such talented people and I'm extremely proud of the role we play at PRS for Music Foundation in supporting their success in the UK and overseas.'

The awards ceremony ended with a performance from Jones who has been supported by PRS for Music Foundation's Momentum fund.

The annual h.Club 100 Awards, which are supported by the Creative Industries Council, celebrate the best of the UK's creative talent who have made an impact in their field over the past 12 months.

Other winners include John Boyega (actor), Lolly Adefope (comedian) and Nishma Robb (Google UK).
