Urban Development, British Underground and Generator North East are among the PRS Foundation’s Talent Development Partners for 2017/18.
They are among 34 organisations selected to work with the organisation alongside the likes of the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS), FOCUS Wales and the Manchester Jazz Festival.
According to the Foundation, ‘these organisations are working at the frontline of talent development in the UK, supporting a broad range of music creators across different music genres and UK regions.
‘This reflects PRS Foundation’s commitment to supporting composers and songwriters of all backgrounds either through direct investment or by helping organisations which nurture music creators and promote their music to audiences at home and overseas.’
The partners have been chosen for the range of opportunities they offer in their region and specialism with each receiving backing from the Foundation to support their activity.
The network has been extended following the 2016/17 pilot programme which enabled 23 organisations to develop the careers of thousands of music creators.
