British rapper and singer songwriter Professor Green has signed a new publishing deal with Imagem.
The new agreement, which takes effect from 7 May, will include the hip hop star’s current album, Growing Up In Public, and all future material.
Green aka Stephen Manderson has worked with a whole host of British acts including Lily Allen, Emeli Sande and Example.
Kim Frankiewicz, managing director of Imagem Music UK, said: ‘Stephen really got on my radar when he sampled INXS’s Need You Tonight for his single with Ed Drewett. He’s an extraordinary talent who has boundless energy and creative spirit so we’re delighted that Stephen has joined the Imagem family.’
Stephen Manderson added: ‘I'm really pleased to be part of the Imagem family. It was important for me to sign to a proactive and dynamic publisher with the interests of their writers and artists at heart. I'm excited to be working with Kim and the entire Imagem team, not only in the UK but worldwide.’
Professor Green released his debut album Alive Till I’m Dead in July 2010. The record reached number two in the UK charts and sold more than 250,000 copies.
His second album - 2011’s At Your Inconvenience - sold over 280,000 copies and included the million selling single, Read All About It, with guest vocals from Emeli Sandé.
