Crispin Hunt, Robin Millar CBE, Iain Sutherland and Mark Kelly are the nominees for the two open PPL elected performer director positions.

The successful candidates will join the main PPL board and also the company’s performer board.

One of the two positions is new and follows changes in the PPL board structure recently approved at the company’s June AGM.

Crispin is currently co-CEO of the Featured Artist Coalition, a multi-platinum selling songwriter and producer working for the likes of Jake Bugg, Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding and one-time songwriter behind indie act, the Longpigs.

Mark Kelly is also a co-CEO of the FAC and keyboard player with Marillion while Robin Millar is an acclaimed producer, having worked on Sade’s Diamond Life.

Iain Sutherland is a professional musician with more than 50 years experience in the music industry, His experience includes working as conductor of BBC Scottish Radio Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the BBC Radio Orchestra and Guest conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra.

The two elected performer director positions being voted for at the APM must be filled by representatives of, or persons associated predominantly with, featured performers. The third elected performer director position sits outside this and is currently held by Gerald Newson, PPL performer board chairman.

The forthcoming election will take place on 27 November at the Royal Institute of British Architects.
