PJ Harvey is to unveil new music at the London Literature Festival at the capital’s Southbank Centre in October.
Taking place 9 and 10 October, The Hollow of the Hand is an evening of poetry readings and performances of new songs by PJ Harvey with films and images presented by Seamus Murphy.
Between 2011 and 2014 they set out on a series of journeys to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington DC. PJ Harvey collected words while Seamus collected images. Together they created their debut collaborative book of the same title, which will be published by Bloomsbury in October.
PJ Harvey will be joined on stage by musicians John Parish and James Johnston as part of the performance.
Earlier this year she recorded her album in front of the public as part of an exhibition at London’s Somerset House.
