Peermusic creates senior film and TV role

Carter Armstrong has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, film and television, at independent publisher Peermusic.

Carter Armstrong has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president, film and television, at independent publisher Peermusic.

He will oversee the film and television department and report to to Kathy Spanberger, president and chief operating officer of Peermusic’s Anglo-American region.

Armstrong was previously head of music at production house Lionsgate Entertainment, where he oversaw blockbuster movies including The Hunger Games franchise.

He said: ‘I am extremely excited about creative opportunities for film and TV music at Peermusic. The team here is growing in a bold and innovative direction and I am proud to be part of the process.’

Spanberger added: ‘I am thrilled that Carter is joining our team and know that his experience, knowledge and love of music will not only continue to grow this important department for the firm, but will also provide new and exciting opportunities for our songwriters.’
