On:Demand, a joint-venture between Sentric Music and VMS Live, is a new initiative offering new acts opportunities to play some of the UK’s most popular venues.
The ventue will host monthly club nights at Manchester Academy, The Bullingdon (Oxford), The Waterfront (Norwich), The Duchess (York) and Alfie Bird (Birmingham).
According to the organisers, the new partnership will give artists the opportunity to develop outside of their region by performing across the network’s 25 venues.
Carl Bathgate, VMS Live’s commercial director, said: ‘We have taken a very proactive approach and are extremely excited to be able to be help emerging talent at grassroot’s level.
‘The amount of support both the touring headliners and local support artist receive from the On;Demand model will be vastly disproportionate to the capacity of the venue in which they appear. New bands will receive the same level of promotion and marketing support only usually afforded by much larger touring artist's, not to mention far more opportunity to attract a wider fan base in each territory where the supporting bands have a strong local following.’
