O2 Silver Clef Awards raises £465,000 for Nordoff Robbins

Music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins has benefited to the tune of £465,000 thanks to the recent O2 Silver Clef Awards.

Music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins has benefited to the tune of £465,000 thanks to the recent O2 Silver Clef Awards.

The Clash, Alison Moyet and Ray Davies were just some of the artists to be presented with awards at the event, which took place in London on 28 June.

Each year the event honours artists from across the music industry while raising funds for Nordoff Robbins.

The Clash were one of the final winners to be unveiled in the run up to the event.

Mick Jones from the band said: ‘To be given the O2 Silver Clef Award from Nordoff Robbins is a real honour. Nordoff Robbins do great work and it feels special to be recognised at the O2 Silver Clef Awards.

One Direction were the winners of a public vote to receive the gong for best live act.

Guests at the event were treated to a three course dinner and had the chance to participate in a charity auction.
