Acclaimed producer and composer Nitin Sawhney is to appear at an ‘In Conversation With’ evening at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance.

The talk is part of an Outreach Event presented on 27 November in conjunction with the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and Diaspora, the music foundation which supports musical talent across the diverse range of communities found in the UK.

BASCA will begin the evening with a presentation before the talk with Sawhney, which is expected to discuss the numerous highlights from his varied career.

The Britain Indian musician and producer’s CV is indeed an impressive one - he’s worked on nine studio albums, been nominated for a Mercury Music Prize and Ivor Novello, won a MOBO and scored music for more than 50 films.

His career has seen him work with many of the great and good from across the music industry - Sting, Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck and Taio Cruz are just some of the names to have locked creative horns with Sawhney.

The event is free for invited guests from Diaspora and Institute students.

Students can register by emailing bookings@icmp.co.uk with their name, course details and 'Nitin Sawhney' in the subject line.
