Composers between the ages of 14 and 25 are invited to submit an original composition of their own creation.
Three finalists will be chosen and their compositions performed in November by a professional chamber orchestra consisting of former members of the English Schools’ Orchestra.
The initiative is in honour of PRS for Music’s centenary year and the 20th anniversary of the English Schools’ Orchestra.
Entrants are urged to create a piece of music fitting for these important milestones.
The closing date for entries is 20 July 2014. A cash prize of £250 will be awarded to the winning composer.
