Sound Diplomacy is launching a series of conferences to explore the relationship between music and the urban environment.

The new events will follow in the footsteps of the sold out Music Cities Convention in May in Brighton earlier this year, a conference which featured 200 guests from 73 cities and 30 countries.

Sound Diplomacy is now launching the Music Cities event series to further explore the relationship between music and the built environment.

This will explore three key topics - buildings and development (Sound Development), tourism (Music Tourism Convention) and policy and regulation (Music Cities Convention).

The expansion is set to launch with Sound Development on 6 September.

Confirmed speakers for this first event include Mirik Milan, Amsterdam’s night mayor, Alan Miller, chairman of the Night Time Industries Association, Martin Elbourne, Talent Booker, Glastonbury & co-founder, The Great Escape and Louise Brooke Smith from Brooke Smith Planning.

The event is co-initiated by U+I Think and will take place in their offices in London.
