Ben Foster, David Arnold and PJ Harvey are among the nominees for the Music+Sound Awards 2015.
The event, which is now in its fourth year, aims to celebrate the art of music composition, supervision, and sound design in the media industries.
Ben Foster was nominated for his work on Happy Valley while David Arnold, alongside fellow composer Michael Price composed the score for hit BBC series Sherlock.
Amelia Hartley and PJ Harvey have been given a nod for Peaky Blinders, another BBC series. Read our sync review of the music placement from December last year.
Nick Payne, Music+Sound Awards co-founder, said: ‘This year we have been taken aback by the hugely increased number of submissions, all of which have been of exceedingly high quality. With so many entries the competition is fierce, making the achievement of the finalists all the more notable.
‘As always, the awards provide a fantastic opportunity for these individuals and companies to receive the recognition and reward that they so truly deserve. We would like to thank all those who entered and show appreciation for the hard work of our remarkable jury.’
Other notable nominees include Alexandre Desplat for his work on the Grand Budapest Hotel and Howard Shore for his work on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
A jury of 21 leading industry experts helped compose the shortlist for the awards.
Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on Wednesday 4 March at Café de Paris in London.
