The Music Publishers Association (MPA) has announced that applications are now open for this year’s Richard Toeman Scholarship. The Scholarship is awarded to two outstanding candidates a year: one who has been working within music publishing for five years or less, and one final year student or recent graduate interested in working in music publishing.
The Scholarship winners will receive £500 towards further training and professional development, business coaching provided by an independent consultant, free or discounted entry to MPA training and professional development courses, and more. The final year student or recent graduate scholarship winner will also receive support from the MPA in securing a relevant work placement during the scholarship.
Paul Clements, chief executive officer of MPA Group says, ‘The MPA is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of music publishers and championing diversity at all career levels within our sector. Now in its 14th year, the Richard Toeman Scholarship continues to support the development of newcomers to the industry through training, networking, mentorship and more. Whether working at major international publishing companies or independent publishers, past scholars have gone on to lead successful and notable careers.’
