The Music for Youth Proms 2019 will mark the finale of Music for Youth’s (MFY) yearly events and launch the national youth charity’s 50th anniversary.

The event takes place at the Royal Albert Hall, London on Tuesday 12 to Wednesday 13 November with more than 2,000 young performers taking the stage.

This year’s concert will be presented by British saxophonist and composer YolanDa Brown and will include full-scale orchestras, jazz bands, chamber groups, rock and urban bands, and choirs.

The proms will also feature two massed ensembles; Newham Music, Lister Community School and Norwich Theatre Royal.

The evening is set to highlight inclusion, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning, with performers from music hubs, schools, community organisations and independent music makers.

The charity was founded in 1970 and provides a free curated programme of opportunities to perform and experience world class music.
