Maria Martin-Prat, head of the copyright unit at the European Commission, and Shira Perlmutter, chief policy officer and director for international affairs at the US Patent & Trademark Office, will lead the event, which takes place on 1 October.

It will bring rightsholders and technology companies together for an afternoon of panels, presentations and discussions covering issues such as internet service provider responsibilities, copyright infringement, the international effects of US copyright reform and new challenges and responses to online piracy.

Like last year, the event will be split into two parallel tracks – one covering law and policy, and the other concentrating on technology.

Other speakers booked include Ian Trow (Harmonic), Christopher Elkins (Muso), Heather Reid (Copyright Clearance Center, US), Kiaron Whitehead (BPI) and Stephen Edwards and Gregor Pryor (Reed Smith).

The event takes place at Reed Smith’s office on 20 Primrose Street, London, EC2A 2EW.
