Music Ally, a music industry marketing consultancy for the music industry, is hosting a seminar on 'transparency' in the digital age.
Taking place on 17 June at Reed Smith in Primrose Hill, London, the event will look to explore transparency issues surrounding streaming services, the payment of royalties and the work of publishers and collecting society.
According to Music Ally: ‘Digital was supposed to help change [the business] with the ability to transact and track transactions in nanoseconds. But while much has been modernised, new concerns have arisen while some of the old complaints still remain.
‘As streaming looks set to become the dominant model of distribution, is there a danger that the business is getting more complex and less transparent?’
Speakers at the event include Brian Message (ATC Management), Mark Williamson (Spotify), Mike Skeet (SkeetKaye), Greg Pryor (Reed Smith), Adrian Pope (PIAS) and Phil Bird (Counterpoint).
Visit the Music Ally website for more information on the event and how to get tickets.
