Music 4.5 hosts Death of Radio? seminar

Music 4.5 will gather leading industry figures from 7Digital, Spotify and PRS for Music to explore the changing role of traditional radio and its royalty structure in the face of competition from online stations and streaming services. Early bird tickets available.

Ben McEwen, head of online at PRS for Music, together with Rara chief executive Jez Bell, Mark Foster (Deezer managing director) and IP consultant Amanda Harcourt, will discuss online and terrestrial radio services and their relationship with rightsholders.

Other panellists including Alan Wallis (Ernst & Young), Adam Williams (Spotify), David Courtier-Dutton (Soundout) and Mark Mulligan (Midia Consulting) will look at new content formats, subscription models, partnerships and promotions, asking if there is a sustainable business model in new technologies.
