They are joined by Jade Bird (pictured above), Lewis Capaldi, Loski, Mahalia, Sam Fender and Young T & Bugsey. All acts will go head-to-head in a public vote on Instagram in January to name the overall winner.
Commenting on the shortlist, Anna Karatziva, head of talent and music at MTV UK, said: 'MTV PUSH: Ones to Watch 2019 is a real annual highlight for us. It’s never easy to pick our final shortlist, but it’s so exciting to see all the amazing new music talent we have in the UK.
'We can’t wait to see who will come out top in the public vote, and look forward to another year of supporting incredible artists.'
Previously known as MTV Brand New, acts championed before include Anne-Marie, AJ Tracey, Ella Eyre, Sam Smith, The Vamps and Years & Years.
Last year's winner Mabel, who has since toured with Harry Styles and collaborated with names including Not3s, Raye and Stefflon Don, said: 'Becoming MTV’s Brand New for 2018 kicked off the most exciting year of my career so far.
'To be recognised by a brand as iconic as MTV was surreal, and I’m so grateful for their unwavering support. I cannot wait to see what lies in store for 2019’s MTV PUSH: Ones to Watch champion.'
To celebrate the announcement, MTV will be holding a launch event at Tape London on 27 November, with performances from some of the shortlisted acts. Keep an eye on MTV UK Music socials for the chance to attend.
