Scottish post-rock group Mogwai have announced details of their new album, Rave Tapes.
The album is their eighth and will be released via Sub Pop and their own Rock Action imprint on 20 January 2014.
According to the band’s Facebook page, the record was recorded in their Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow with long-term studio collaborator Paul Savage.
Paul worked with the band on previous releases Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will and Mogwai Young Team.
The group have enjoyed a busy 2013, having released their acclaimed soundtrack to French television series Les Revenants and performed their previous soundtrack to Zidane at numerous UK venues.
