The ten-part series explores the secrets of music management and is produced in partnership with Music Managers Forum (MMF) and sponsored by Kobalt’s recording company AWAL.

Ally McCrae (BBC producer and manager of Old Sea Brigade and Prides) and Sophie Paluch (Blueprint Pods & Radio/San Remo) will lead episodes that delve into cutting edge approaches to business, advice on breaking new acts, and personal high points and low points.

How Did You Manage That? kicked off on 24 April, and featured an exclusive interview with The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborn (All On Red).

The subsequent episodes will be available fortnightly and are set to include a diverse range of interviews with established and upcoming managers across all genres of music.

Ally McCrae says: ‘The goal of these podcasts is simple. We wanted to get inside the minds of the most innovative and respected music managers on the planet. We want to find out what makes them tick, what goes on behind the scenes, and the secrets of their success. But we wanted to do it in a low-key, intimate and informative way. How Did You Manage That? is like an hour down the pub, in the company of the most inspirational individuals in contemporary music.’

Sophie Paluch added: ‘We’re both hugely indebted for the support of both AWAL and the MMF to make this podcast happen. The role of the music manager has never been as important as it is today, and How Did You Manage That? will offer an incredible insight into the challenges and rewards of being a manager today all wrapped up with some great stories and laughs along the way.’

How Did You Manage That is available to stream now via Spotify, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, Breaker, Overcast, RadioPublic and Pocket Casts.
