The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) and Metropolis Studios have announced a new record label which will be run by students, for students.

The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) and Metropolis Studios have announced a new record label which will be run by students, for students.

Metropolis Blue allows students to gain experience and insight into all aspects of running a label, from production to A&R.

ACM songwriters, performers and artists will benefit from the chance to get a professional release for their tracks, while producers, business and technical services students will have a hand in running the label and overseeing PR and launch events, branding and more.

Kainne Clements, chairman of ACM and owner of Metropolis Studios, said: We promised more industry-based learning and connected opportunity than any other provider and I am both excited and proud to deliver on this by launching the new record label, specific to ACM, powered by Metropolis.’
