Metronomy have been named as headliner for the first night of next year’s Field Day festival.
The band will top the bill of the now two-day event, which takes place 7-8 June in London’s Victoria Park. US band Pixies have already been unveiled as the headline band for the second day.
Metronomy, who will be playing their first headline set at the festival, will be joined by the likes of Dusky, Daniel Avery, Jon Hopkins and Omar Souleyman.
The band have recently unveiled their first new material since their Mercury Music Prize nominated The English Riviera, released on Because Music in 2011.
Forthcoming album Love Letters is due for release in March 2014. More acts for Field Day are expected to be announced as the event nears.
