Mentoring programme opens for artists in the North of England

Creative music charity Brighter Sound have announced a new programme that will offer artists from the North of England the opportunity to be mentored by established musicians and music business professionals.

Creative music charity Brighter Sound have announced a new programme that will offer artists from the North of England the opportunity to be mentored by established musicians and music business professionals.

Successful applicants will receive up to four meetings with a mentor over a six-month period, in addition to group sessions designed to share skills, experience and learning.

Artists can focus on one of the following areas as part of the programme: business development, artistic development or marketing and communications.

The programme will run from October 2019 to March 2020 with the first session taking place on Friday 18 October and there are 10 places available in total.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age, based in the North of England and in the early stages of their musical career.

Those applying must also have a strong track record of gigs in a variety of music venues, a growing online presence and be committed to completing the mentoring process.
