Matthew Herbert is to celebrate the human form ‘in its rawest form’ with his forthcoming album, A Nude (The Perfect Body).

The record, released via Accidental Records on 1 July, sees the experimental musician record the sounds of a naked body in a room over a 24 hour period.

According to the press release, the recordings capture the sound of numerous bodily functions, doing ‘everything that humans do: it eats, sleeps, washes, wees, trims, wanks, moves, poos and so on’.

These recordings of the body have been condensed and organised into eight parts. A Nude (The Perfect Body);

- is sleeping
- is awake
- is grooming
- is hurting
- is eating
- is moving
- is coming
- is shitting

Previous work from Matthew has seen him embrace the weird and the wonderful. He launched his Edible Sound series earlier in 2016 with a release pressed on a tortilla wrap. His One Pig record also saw him capturing the life span of a pig from farm to plate.
