The Who are to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a new photography exhibition set to open in 2014.
Fifty Years of The Who will take place at the Proud Galleries in Camden, running 5 February to 23 March next year.
The collection of images were taken by renowned photographer Colin Jones and document the band out on the road, at home and in the studio.
Current exhibitions at Proud include Warhol’s Muse by David McCabe – the exhibition provides a portrait of Edie Sedgewick and her relationship with Andy Warhol.
Meanwhile, Who frontman Roger Daltrey recently told Billboard that the band will be scaling back their touring commitments in the future. Daltrey was responding to comments from guitarist Pete Townshend that the group would be playing a final series of live gigs in 2015.
In the interview, which was reported by NME, the band’s frontman said: ‘I think you have to clarify what he said, and what we mean is we cannot keep going on doing these month-after-month, long, extended tours.’
