Tim Burgess, Alan McGee and Wilko Johnson are among the songwriters and music industry figures appearing at new festival Louder than Words.
Taking place at the Palace Hotel, Manchester between 15-17 November, the literary event is aimed at celebrating the best in music writing.
The festival will begin with a launch party on 15 November featuring performance poet Tony Walsh, a DJ set from Noise of Art promoter Ben Osborne and organiser John Robb’s Late Night Music Quiz.
Saturday will see the beginning of two days of ‘in conversation with...' sessions, panel discussions, interviews, workshops and performances from the likes of solo artist and Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, music industry impresario Alan McGee and musicians Jah Wobble and Wilko Johnson.
Journalists including Shaun Ryder ghost writer Luke Bainbridge and Stone Roses biographer Mick Middles will also be appearing over the course of the weekend.
The inaugural event is presented in collaboration with Arts Council England.
