The London International Ska Festival brings together 40 acts from around the world. The line-up includes ska legends Dandy Livingstone, Dave Barker (the voice of Dave and Ansell Collins Double Barrel), The Pioneers and Rico Rodriguez MBE as well as two tone pioneers The Specials legend Neville Staple and the Neol Davies- founder, guitarist and songwriter of The Selecter and new British bands The Dualers, Phoenix City All-Stars, Buster Shuffle and Ska Cubano. The festival's music policy showcases all ska has to offer from its roots in rhythm and blues, mento and calypso, to the Jamaican originators, the progression through rocksteady and reggae, two tone, ska-punk and the 21st century ska sounds.
The festival takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend Thursday 3 – Sunday 6 May at O2 Academy Islington, Islington Assembly Hall and The Islington Metal Works.
