Laura Ducceschi, Suzy Glass, John Stevens and Kate Whitley are the four live music producers nominated for a £10,000 Arts Foundation Award.

According to the PRS for Music Foundation, the four shortlisted producers were chosen from a longlist nominated by musicians, producers and other music practitioners.

Laura is currently a music producer for the Brighton Festival and the Dome while both Suzy and John are alumni of PRS for Music Foundation’s New Music Plus scheme. Kate is a producer, composer and classically trained pianist.

Commenting, Vanessa Reed, said: ‘Congratulations to the four shortlisted creative producers who all demonstrated an extremely imaginative and risk taking approach to curating live music events and a clear vision of how an Arts Foundation award would help them at this stage in their career.

‘I’m delighted that two of the shortlisted producers took part in our New Music Plus … producer development programme and that so many talented women are being recognised as leading lights in this field.’

The final judging panel featured Jane Beese, head of music at London’s Roundhouse, composer, producer, DJ and founder of NonClassical record label and club night Gabriel Prokofiev and Vanessa Reed, executive director of the PRS for Music Foundation.

The winner of the £10,000 fellowship will be announced on 28 January at the Arts Foundation Awards 2016 in London. Runners up will each receive £1,000.
