Little Mammoths, formed by Noah and The Whale member Matt Owens, are launching their debut EP with a gig for Youth Music’s Give a Gig campaign.
The band will play a show at London’s Bush Hall on 13 December with all proceeds going to the charity’s initiative.
Give a Gig is supported by the likes of Laura Mvula, Rizzle Kicks and Julian Lloyd Webber and is aimed at encouraging bands and promoters to put on shows and donate any proceeds to Youth Music.
Matt from the band said: ‘The Give a Gig campaign is a brilliant initiative. This charity uses music to channel young people's energy in a really positive way that changes their lives. We're really proud to be involved with such a great cause.’
Little Mammoths also feature Noah and the Whale member Fred Abbot on Hammond organ and piano and are well known for their raw, rock’n’roll sets.
A debut album is expected from the band at some stage in 2015.
