Leeds rockers I Like Trains will be playing a special fundraising gig to support national charity Youth Music.

Taking place at London’s Bush Hall on 12 September, the show is part of Youth Music’s flagship fundraising initiative Give a Gig, in which musicians support the charity’s life-changing work by putting on live music events.

David Martin from I Like Trains said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting the Give a Gig initiative. These are increasingly difficult times, and we strongly believe music can be a force for good. Since the fifties, music has afforded the youth a strong voice which has defined generations. Right now, it feels more important than ever that we ensure the next generation is heard above all the noise.”

Matt Griffiths, Youth Music chief executive officer, said: ‘Funds raised through Give a Gig events help us bring music-making opportunities to young people facing exceptionally difficult challenges including disability, poverty, refugee status or living in care. We’re hugely grateful to I Like Trains and StubHub for their support of our work, and we can’t wait for the gig!’

Youth Music are a national charity investing in music-making projects for children and young people children experiencing challenging circumstances.

The gig is supported by StubHub, which announced today the selection of Youth Music as their first official UK music charity partner. StubHub will be supporting the Give a Gig initiative over the next year, beginning with this inaugural concert.

Tickets for the gig are now on sale rom StubHub.co.uk and Music Glue.
