The Music Publishers Association (MPA) has announced the dates for its first Induction Course for 2017.
Taking place at Tileyard Studios on 31 January and 1 February, the course will provide an essential overview of the music publishing business, the key players and their roles.
Each session will be conducted by industry experts. These sessions include who publishers are and what they do, legal and financial issues, copyright and related rights, publishing, the work of MCPS and PRS for Music as well sync and grand rights.
Speakers include Claire McAuley (MPA), Seth Hodder (Budde Music), James Seadon (Fieldfisher LLP), Polly Jackman (Boosey & Hawkes), Nick Oakes (Sony/ATV) and sync experts from Eyehear and Endemol.
Due to the consistent popularity of this course it now takes place four times a year.
Event cost:
£155 + VAT (£186) MPA members and PRS for Music staff
£190 + VAT (£228) members of AIM, BASCA, BPI, MMF, MPG, and the MU
£215 + VAT (£258) self employed and students (subject to ID)
£250 + VAT (£300) all others
