Harris will offer guidance on writing compelling and well-targeted applications for those wanting to get grant funding for themselves, their artists or their company.
Advice will address PRS Foundation, Arts Council and Music Export Growth Scheme (MEGS) funding. Successful applicants can receive thousands of pounds in support from these schemes.
The course will cover how to pull together applications, step-by-step, and provides opportunities to ask questions and review examples.
To prepare, attendees are asked to have a look at the Project Grants area of their national arts council, the PRS Foundation website and the Music Export Growth Scheme (MEGS) websites to familiarise themselves with the schemes available.
Harris said: ‘Grants are being used to fund such a wide range of activities in music: first EPs, songwriting sessions, music tuition, travel to international showcases and the creation of career-defining projects. Know when and how to use grants, and you’ll have a valuable tool your whole career.’
