BASCA is hosting an afternoon event with BBC Proms director, David Pickard, to explore his career and the BBC Proms season.

Taking place at Cecil Sharp House in Camden, London, on 27 June, the event will be lead by BASCA board director Gary Carpenter.

He will host a Q&A with David, exploring his achievements within the classical music industry as well as his current role leading the BBC Proms ahead of the upcoming eight week season.

Previously, David was chief executive of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, before, in 2001, being made general director of Glyndebourne Festival. In November 2015, David took up the role of director of the BBC Proms.

Doors for registration will open at 4pm and the discussion will run from 4:15pm - 5:45pm. Guests are invited to stay on after the discussion to have a drink at the venue’s bar and network with friends and colleagues.

Visit the BASCA website to get tickets to the event.
