Ajay Carter and Broadstrokes are among the latest musical artists to feature as part of the second year of the Future Bubblers scheme.

The initiative, run by Brownswood Music and Gilles Peterson in collaboration with Arts Council England, is focused on new talent discovery and development.

With the first year focusing on Nottingham and Salford, the second will champion Hull and Sheffield.

Other artists to be included are Ratomagoson, Skinny Pelembe and Missy with the talent spanning a wide musical gauntlet from grime to jazz and beyond.

According to the Future Bubblers, ‘we are not limited by any style, genre or label. We want to actively seek out and assist some of the freshest and most innovative music makers from across England, and offer them a whole heap of support, mentorship and advice, profile and opportunities. Future Bubblers is about digging. The project will roll out across England, focussing on different key cities in each of the three years we’re active.’
