Kobalt Music Publishing (KMP) has signed a deal with Good Soldier Songs, an indie publisher managing rights for the likes of Biffy Clyro and The 1975.

This new agreement will cover worldwide administration (excluding France, Australia and New Zealand) of all future works as well as the existing catalogue.

Good Soldier Songs is the independent music publishing company of former Warner Music UK CEO, Christian Tattersfield.

Among the roster’s artists are Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro, indie four-piece The 1975, Liverpool guitar band The Wombats and fellow indie band Coast.

Commenting on the new deal, Christian said:I'm thrilled to be working with a company as exciting and innovative as Kobalt and look forward to sharing many hit records together.’

Sas Metcalfe, president of Global Creative at Kobalt Music Group, added: ‘We are delighted to be working with Christian. He has a fantastic reputation in the industry with a real eye for spotting talent, so it’s very exciting to be working with the roster at Good Soldier Songs.’
