Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke is to release the first 3D printed single to raise money for music charity Nordoff Robbins.

Kele has collaborated with upcoming vocalist Bobbie Gordon to release Down Boy as part of the Bacardi Beginnings project.

The release will be exclusively sold from a pop-up London shop in December and will come with a choice of four different record sleeves from designer Kate Moross.

Bobbie said: ‘I'm proud to have provided the lead vocals on this track and my name's on it. And to then release it on 3D printed vinyl - that's just brilliant! I'm really looking forward to hearing how it sounds.’

Amanda Ghassaei is behind the new technology for converting audio files into 3D printed records.

A launch party at which the artists will perform the track for the very first time takes place on Thursday 12 December at a as yet undisclosed location.

Previous Bacardi Beginnings projects include Rudimental and Bipolar Sunshine writing, recording and releasing a track in a day while Toddla T and Roses Gabor ran a remix contest.
