The band will mark a decade since the release of their debut eponymous album by performing to 35,000 fans at Victoria Park, Leicester on 21 June.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 29 November priced at £39.50, with priority given to local residents.
Guitarist Sergio Pizzorno told the Leicester Mercury: ‘We really want to do something to inspire the next generation of kids. If you're a kid and you see a band from down the road play a big gig in your city. I hope that's inspiring.
‘We had to travel round the country to see the bands we liked when we were young, so it's great to be able to do this.'
Leicester City Mayor Peter Soulsby said: 'Leicester is incredibly proud of Kasabian and we are delighted to host this homecoming concert to celebrate these local heroes. There can be no doubt that this will be one of the musical highlights anywhere in the country next summer.'
Kasabian are currently working on their new album, which follows their acclaimed 2011 album Velociraptor!
