One time Smiths guitarist turned solo artist Johnny Marr has announced details of his second solo album Playland.
The album will be released this October and arrives just a year after his debut full length effort The Messenger.
Commenting on the new record, Johnny said: ‘When The Messenger came out, I kept on writing. I liked that the band had a momentum going on tour and a connection with the audience, and I thought that energy would be good to capture on the new record.’
Playland was recorded in London at Tritone Studios near Tower Bridge.
