JayaHadADream has been named as the winner of Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition 2024.
The Cambridge-born, Jamaican-Irish rapper and singer emerged victorious on Saturday night (27 April) during the conclusion of the competition's live final at Pilton Working Men’s Club.
With her victory, JayaHadADream has won a slot on one of the festival’s main stages in June as well as a £5,000 Talent Development prize from the PRS Foundation.
The winner and runners-up were selected by a judging panel who included Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis, Glastonbury stage bookers and music business professionals.
Two runners-up from the eight finalists were also selected by the judges, with singer-songwriter Nadia Kadek and soul singer Caleb Kunle each receiving a £2,500 Talent Development prize from PRS Foundation.
Host Huw Stephens confirmed on the night that all eight finalists will be given performance slots at this year's festival, which will take place from 26-30 June.
The other six finalists of Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition 2024 were The Ayoub Sisters, Bryte, KID 12, Olivia Nelson and Problem Patterns.
