The organisation is seeking new works with a maximum time limit of 10 minutes to premiere at the JAM opening concert on 18 March 2015 in London.
Submissions must be written for choir, brass quintet and organ or any combination, for performance with some of the UK’s most significant composers.
Anyone born, living or studying in the UK may enter, so long as they are aged 18 or over.
Interested composers should visit www.jamconcert.org/info/submit to check on the entry requirements and submit their work.
The deadline is 1 December 2014.
Every submission will be read by the JAM creative panel which includes Judith Bingham, Nicholas Cleobury, Daniel Cook, Eric Crees and Timothy Jackson.
The performance next March will be attended by the general public and publishers, commissioners, concert and festival managers and the media.
JAM will give each composer a professional recording of their work to help them further their career.
Hannah Kendall, previous submission composer, said: ‘My association with JAM has not only been an invaluable experience, but essential to the development of my career as a composer. It is a truly remarkable organisation that it crucial to broadening and maintaining the richness of contemporary classical music.’
