Jamie Oborne, founder of All On Red Management and the Dirty Hit record label, is set to pick up Entrepreneur of the Year at the Artist & Manager Awards 2018 awards (A&MAs), it has been announced.
Osborne is responsible for building two of the UK’s most respected music businesses, home to acts including The 1975, Wolf Alice (pictured above), Pale Waves, The Japanese House, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and No Rome.
He'll pick up his award at the ceremony later this month, which is hosted by The Music Managers Forum (MMF) and Featured Artists Coalition (FAC).
Commenting on the award, MMF chief executive, Annabella Coldrick, said: 'Jamie Oborne is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring individuals working in music today today. All On Red and Dirty Hit are synonymous for backing the creative vision of their artists, and for delivering brilliant and highly curated campaigns.
'Given the imminent return of The 1975 and the recent Mercury win for Wolf Alice, this seemed an appropriate moment to pay tribute to Jamie and all he’s achieved so far. The MMF and FAC are delighted to award him 2018’s Entrepreneur of the Year.'
Previous winners of Entrepreneur of the Year include Henry Village (Black Butter Records), Caius Pawson (Young Turks), and Niamh Byrne and Régine Moylett (Eleven Management).
Elsewhere, the A&MAs have revealed the nominees for Breakthrough Artist and Breakthrough Manager (see below).
Meanwhile, as previously announced, Modest! Management will receive the Peter Grant Award for Lifetime Achievement, Elbow’s Guy Garvey will receive the Artists’ Artist Award and Dua Lipa will be crowned Artist of the Year.
The A&MAs take place at Bloomsbury Big Top in London on 14 November.
