James Blake, Metronomy and Haim are among the first wave of acts named to be playing at the first BBC 6 Music Festival.
Their inaugural event takes place 28 February – 1 March at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester.
So far singer-songwriter indie rockers Wild Beasts, Luke Sital-Singh, former Portico Quartet member Nick Mulvey, Jimi Goodwin of Doves and Sheffield rockers Drenge have also been confirmed for the event.
On the website, the broadcaster said: ‘We’re excited to be holding our inaugural festival in a city that’s played such an important role in British music history. The venue is also a stone’s throw from Media City, which is home to many of BBC Radio 6 Music’s shows.’
The event is expected to see more than 30 artists and DJs performing with the line up unveiled over the course of today (21 January).
Tickets for both the Friday and the Saturday nights will go on sale at midday on Friday 24 January.
