Composers across the UK are being invited to submit works for inclusion in the JAM 2019 season launch concert.
The pieces must be a maximum of 10 minutes long and be written for choir, brass quintet and organ, or a combination of these forces.
Anyone aged 18 or over may submit music if they are born, living or studying in the UK. The deadline for applicants is 12 December.
Successful submissions will be performed at JAM’s 2019 season launch event at St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street, London on 21 March.
The concert will be performed by The Chapel Choir of Selwyn College Cambridge, Onyx Brass and Simon Hogan (organ), conducted by Michael Bawtree.
The submissions will be joined by Paul Patterson and Ben Kaye’s The Fifth Continent, commissioned by JAM in 2005.
All pieces will be professionally recorded, and composers will be able to use the audio to publicise their work.
Performances are attended by the general public and also publishers, commissioners, concert/festival managers and the media.
