Earlier this month PRS for Music celebrated reaching its 100,000th member after unsigned Sheffield act, The Gentlemen joined the collecting society.

Nicholas Noble, The Gentlemen frontman, signed up to PRS for Music, following in the footsteps of his songwriter father Keith.

Keith sang in The Screaming Abdabs, a rhythm and blues band from the sixties who went on to be known as Pink Floyd. His track Summer Song went on to be a big hit at the time and still earns him royalties to this day.

We went up to Sheffield to speak to The Gentlemen and record the band performing an exclusive song for us.

Keith was also on hand to offer his thoughts on songwriting and how he joined the collecting society. Watch our video below.
