IMS 2014 announces speakers

George Clinton, Annie Mac and Steve Angello are among the first wave of speakers announced for the Ibiza International Music Summit (IMS) 2014.

Running from 21-23 May, the event will see dance music’s great and the good descending on the Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza for three days and nights of discussion and dancing.

Paul McGuiness, U2 manager, Miles Leonard chairman of Parlophone/Warner Brothers UK and Alison Wenham, Association of Independent Music founder will also be speaking during the event, which will be hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong MBE.

IMS has also partnered with Beatport to offer labels attending the event and equipped with a delegate pass 50 percent discount. Labels wanting to take up the discount should contact mailto:promo@internationalmusicsummit.com.

Ben Turner, IMS partner, said: ‘The record labels are the lifeblood of our entire genre. IMS has not done enough to focus on the challenges facing the recorded industry which continue to A&R our scene forward.
