Flashback: The Very Best of Imagination will be released through Sony Music on 7 October and features a pick of their most anthemic hits including Just An Illusion, Body Talk, Music and Lights, In and Out of Love and Flashback.

The crossover soul act first tasted success in 1981 with debut single Body Talk, which reached number four and spent 18 weeks in the chart that year.

Leee John, Ashley Ingram and Errol Kennedy went on to release a string of acclaimed albums during the eighties, including the leftfield Night Dubbing album. They enjoyed lasting success at home and abroad with hits in 28 countries, scoring five consecutive gold albums in the UK alone.

Their music has since been sampled and covered by the likes of Boards of Canada, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Tiger & Woods and many more.

John has built a career as a solo artist, songwriter, performer, radio presenter, documentary producer and charity patron. He is currently working on a film documenting the rise of British soul music in Britain.
