The contest, run in partnership with companies including Decca, Warner/Chappell, HMV and Rocket Music Management, is looking to reward businesses that have developed pioneering commercial prototypes under three main themes: rights and monetisation, digital and live music; linking physical to digital.
The prototypes should ideally have the potential to work across a wider music market, and assist the industry as it grapples with changes to content delivery, music metadata and licensing.
The successful applicants will benefit from funding to produce their commercial prototype, exposure to a range of music industry partners and testing support.
The contest takes place over two stages. To apply for stage one, businesses must complete an online application and produce a two minute video about their proposal by 10am Monday 19 November.
IC Tomorrow and its partners will select 18 finalists to go through to the second stage, which will include a live pitch to a panel of judges. For more information about the process, click here. To find out more about the challenges, click here.
